Posts: Achieving a Level Four

Writing Your Blog Posts

1.  Because we are dealing with an online audience, your points should be concise and relatively short (100 - 150 words).

2.  Get to your point quickly, adding only those details necessary to describe or explain the main focus or your entry.  Quality is key here, not quantity.

3.  When writing about your novel, refer specifically to passages, and when asked, provide succinct quotations.

4.   Always make sure you check over your post for spelling and grammar errors.  Part of your evaluation is for COMMUNICATION.   Attempt each time to ORGANIZE your writing so that it communicates clearly to the audience.

entitled Reading Rants! Out of the Ordinary Booklists.  This website will link you to a number of blogs written by teens about books and reading (look in the sidebar for "Book Review Websites"& "Blogs for Teens").
